In the wild, Blue Bearded Dragons are omnivorous, which means they eat a mixture of plants and animals. In captivity, it’s important to provide a balanced diet that includes a variety of food types to ensure that your dragon receives all the nutrients it needs to thrive.

The primary component of a Blue Bearded Dragon’s diet should be live insects, such as crickets, mealworms, and roaches. These should be gut-loaded with nutrient-rich foods before feeding to your dragon. As your dragon grows, you can also include small amounts of pinkie mice, waxworms, and other live prey to provide a source of animal protein.

In addition to insects, Blue Bearded Dragons should also be fed a variety of leafy greens and vegetables. Some good options include collard greens, kale, dandelion greens, and butternut squash. It’s important to offer a variety of greens to ensure your dragon gets a range of nutrients.

Fruit should be offered sparingly, as it can be high in sugar. However, small amounts of chopped berries, apples, or mango can be offered as an occasional treat.

I received my “big baby” Tuesday afternoon (3 days ago). He was feisty, well fed looking and gorgeous and perfect in form. A beautiful aqua blue shade. He is already beginning to adjust to his new enclosure and allowing me to change his food and water bowls without going balistic ; ). He is also showing signs of that wonderful male iguana cockiness which I adore (head bobbing and swishing his tale on the end). I can’t wait until he begins to grow! This was my first online reptile order and I was not disappointed. The iguana was packed well and had a heat pad that was still warm when I got him. Hopefully the biologist got “his” sex correct! ; ) This is a good company and I would recommend them to anyone who is hesitant about ordering an beaded dragons online.

We are extremely happy with our purchase and when we expand with more lizards or turtles we will start here first. After initial purchase we emailed them with multiple questions and always got a quick response.

Best little guy I’ve ever had the pleasure of homing. His Vibrant blue color is so gorgeous I couldn’t believe my eyes. When I got him out of his shipping container he zoomed out so fast that he went up my chest and almost got in my shirt lol. He also hung onto my hand for a full minute nearly upside down as I waited for him to enter his new home. He’s been staring at everyone ever since. Hilarity aside, he is a wonderful beaded dragons and I have a feeling he will be my families best friend for many years. Thank you florida Reptile!
